What's in the VIOLO filter?

Activated carbon - during the absorption and catalytic reduction process, it removes pesticides, herbicides, chlorine and detergents. It noticeably improves the smell and taste of water.
Won exchange resin - removes excess magnesium and calcium ions, reducing water hardness.

FILTER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the filter from the packaging and make sure the filter has a gasket or O-ring

2. Soak the filter, preferably by pouring water into it under the tap (upside down) for about 30 seconds.

3. Then shake the filter gently to allow the filter to escape properly.

4. Remove the water tank, install the filter in it and fill the tank with water.

5. After installing the filter in the coffee machine's water tank, force the flow of hot water or hot steam (if the coffee machine has a hot steam nozzle) for about 10 seconds. The machine may initially "buzz" when the hot water is started, but the process should continue for 10 seconds. Then switch off the hot water flow, wait a while and repeat the hot water flow process for another 10 seconds.
